Iconic century plant. Adapted to a wide range of climates. Can be dry farmed, used for syrup, aguamiel, biofuel, animal silage, fiber. Large blue-green rosettes with spiny leaves.

- Extremely high potential to be dry farmed. Medium water required to establish, very low once established.

- Very high hijuelo (pup) production. No bulbils formed naturally; can be forced by experts.
- Sugar Content
- High; Well grown plants can achieve 30-44 brix.

- Aguamiel & Pulque, Animal silage, Biofuels (bioethanol, biohydrogen, biomethane), Fiber (construction, paper, textiles), Syrups
